The Bugger Barn Fly Box™
Dimensions: 8 3/16" x 4 3/26" x 1 1/8"
The third box in the Cliff Outdoors line, we finally have a fly box that will
hold a whole "days worth" of large streamers. The special material has
pre-cut slots that really grips a fly. Simply back the hook in the slit
and it is held securely. It has tons of capacity and like all of our products,
it's built to handle years of abuse.
The Bugger Barn Story
Here at Cliff Outdoors, we spend most of our spare time fishing very small
flies to very large trout, which is how 'ya make a living on the big tail-waters
in the mountain west. Fishing small bugs, and our desire to travel light
led to the creation of the stout little
Days Worth fly box, which in our oh-so-humble opinion), is still the finest
small box on the market today.
However, there are times when fishing the small stuff just doesn't get it
done. Local trout have been known to get lock-jaw as they lie on the
bottom, basically giving you the fin every time your little midge pupae drift
past. This can lead to name calling from your professional peers, who are
apt to hurt your feelings with insults such as "Skunk Boy".
It is then my friend that you unsheathe the rod that resembles a bole vault,
put on the biggest, most homely woolly bugger in your box and start dredging
Davy Jones' locker for Mr. Big.
Caught in the unseemly circumstance once too often, Cliff started
day-dreaming of a monsta-box, tough as nails, and built to house a summer's worth
of really large flies. And so it was, that in July 2003, Cliff unveiled to
the world the newly-created Bugger Barn, a man-sized box for man-sized bugs.
Sure, this box isn't for everybody. You need to possess a pretty large
pair to cart around a box that's stuffed with giant buggers. But
Cliffatarians worldwide recognize that sometimes it's better to be referred to
as "Bugger Boy" than "Skunk Boy"
"Like all of our products, this box isn't made in B.F.
Egypt by folks who don't fish. No! It's made in Wyoming by anglers for
anglers."
