Winter Swinging Steelhead Flies By Justin Miller DVD

Justin Miller is a steelhead guide from Northern California & enjoys fly fishing for anything that swims, but steelhead monopolizes most of his time & energy. The mystique of this fish & the beautiful places they exist, keep Justin focused on them for most of the year. Having searched for these fish from southern Alaska & northern British Columbia, all the way to the San Francisco Bay, & every where he can find them in between. Even though Bass has been on center stage for years, we think what made us cast so relentlessly when we first picked up a rod needs to be rediscovered. So, we did a lot of research and found the ultimate place to start our journey. The home of many of the heaviest bass ever caught on earth: the hills of Southern California. (Our anglers had fished all over the world, and their hands were shaking after the first day from what they saw.)

Justin prefers the traditional down stream swing, & the flies that are used with this method. This DVD will focus on the larger winter style patterns which are typically fished in higher, colder water. The larger flies are easier to see in dirty water & seem to get the attention of the cold fish & make them willing to move farther to grab them than the smaller summer style flies. The patterns are often weighted & fished on shooting heads or sink tip lines to bring them down to the fish.
