Great Shoe for Boats or wet wading, 9.10.2012

The Simms Riprap shoe is terrific. I've wet waded into local Jackson WY creeks and also taken this on driftboats where I've both fished and rowed. It performs well, is super comfortable and is generally a great shoe. Fishwest's service is excellent; they ship fast, take returns and I've had nothing but good experience with Fishwest.

Needing a quality wet wading shoe, I ordered the Simms Riprap. These have the same tread as my G4 Guide Boots. Very sturdy and comfortable. Originally ordered a size too large. I returned to Fishwest and they immediately sent out my new order.

I rated the Riprap shoes as a 5 because they performed perfectly for me in every way. I have a wide foot and they fit me well, they dried quickly so they were comfortable to wear with or without socks, and most importantly, they stick to rocks really well. I am a guide for whitewater canoeing/fly fishing trips in Ontario and Quebec and I did not slip or fall once on the trip I led this July. This is extremely important since I am responsible for the safety and well-being of my clients and my gear has to perform perfectly. Simms will sell a few more pairs as all of my clients wanted to know what it was I was wearing that gave me the cat-like grip!
