I've used this on two fishing trips and I love it! The magnetic front pockets are awsome very fast. The back pack could be bigger and room for water sytem would be nice. Overall two thumbs up!!

Ok, If you are like me you have tried them all...fishing vests, chest packs, hip packs, lanyards...they all leave you looking for something else. This is it. It has lots of room for day trips and feels very light on your shoulders and easy access. The only thing I wish it had was a hydration system or webbing for water bottle. I just throw one in the back...not a big drawback. Great features.

I purchased the Confluence Chest Pack for a trip to a large tailwater river this spring and was so disappointed with the pack layout the I left it at the house and used my old Fish Pond chest pack on the trip. The magnetic closure is great and there was good storage in the backpack. The main compartment on the chest pack is very poorly designed for fly box storage, and is only seperated from the internal foam pad for fly storage by a mesh materiel that will push flies off the foam. The rear of the back pack doesn't ride up by your neck, so if you hang a net from it, the net hangs way to low on your back. Looks great, material and workmanship is nice, layout and design is awful. I would have returned it but I cut the tags off. Fishwest custormer service is second to none, I have purchased a lot of products from them, in the past, a great company to deal with.

My nephew had this pack for a couple of years and the thing that really sold me was the ability to unclip the straps and swing the back of the pack onto his chest. The quality and other features are all great. The chest pack allowed me to re-tie on the fly. Pardon the pun! The faster re-tie allows more casts resulting in more fish! Another in our group had also purchased the previous version that doesn't have the magnetic fasteners on the two front pockets. The magnet closures are very convenient and also gives you a place to stick the fly without it falling into the pack. This also helped me out giving me a temporary place to stick other people's gear that I was pulling off of trees or off of fish that I was catching. Although a little pricey I'd say it was my favorite piece of gear on my most recent trip and will continue to please me in the future! Got it in two days, as requested! Thanks for the good experience Fishwest!
