    Useless for medium or large reels, even Lamson's.

    I purchased three of these for my 8wt and 10wt fly reels, the largest of which was 4 1/8" including foot. They DO NOT fit (or rather, the thin plastic can be manipulated so the smaller ones are jammed in but at great risk of foot breakage). I would caution using these for a 3 3/4" reel AT MOST. Otherwise, a great design; though I wish the plastic was sturdier. At the price, an excellent travel protector for SMALLER reels. I will use the product for my 4wt and 6wt reels.
