    There are many lines that excel in the type III+ sinking line category and I've always loved Scientific Anglers lines. I have fished the Mastery Stillwater for a year trying to fill a niche in the slow sink category. This line has the sink rate I was looking for, and also casts well. Sadly, the main reason it is called the Stillwater appears to be that with this line you spend all of your time sitting still on the water while untying loop tangles. This line has more memory brand new than 5-year-old Uniform Sink lines when I throw them away due to incessant tangling. SA really blew it on the formulation of this line in a quest to make it clear. I suggest the Airflo Freshwater Delta (Tactical clear intermediate) if you are looking for a line of this type. At any price, this Stillwater line wouldn't pass muster let alone as one of SA's flagship Mastery series.
