    Has a powdery yellow coating that will tend to flake off when you load your reel, but nothing to worry over. Probably overkill for a lot of applications... 250 yds of backing is a LOT of backing but helps build up the spool diameter to reduce line memory, and this stuff will last for years. It's strong, light and ties a variety of knots w/ ease.
